How Should You Breathe AFTER Exercise? | FMH Episode 13

Feeling wired after a workout? It's time to harness the calming effects of breathwork to bring your adrenaline levels down and promote deep relaxation. Here's how:

Diaphragmatic Breathing: Engage your diaphragm by inhaling deeply through your nose, allowing your belly to rise, then exhaling fully through your mouth, emptying your lungs completely.

Box Breathing: Practice box breathing by inhaling for a count of four, holding for a count of four, exhaling for a count of four, and holding for a count of four before repeating the cycle.

Progressive Muscle Relaxation: Combine breathwork with progressive muscle relaxation by tensing and releasing each muscle group as you inhale and exhale deeply, starting from your toes and working your way up to your head.

Mindfulness Meditation: Cultivate a sense of presence and awareness by focusing on your breath and gently redirecting your attention back to the present moment whenever your mind wanders.

By incorporating breathwork into your post-exercise routine, you can promote relaxation, reduce stress, and enhance recovery, allowing your body to adapt and thrive in the long run. Ready to unwind and rejuvenate? Let's dive deeper into the art of breathwork!
